Marlin Eller

Marlin Eller has an extensive background in computer programming, mathematics, musical theory and guitar performance. He worked at Microsoft from 1982–1995, and later became the co-founder and the CEO of Sunhawk, a company working on digitizing sheet music for distribution. He has a long running interest in application development to both aid in human-directed musical composition as well as computer-directed (i.e., largely autonomous) composition.

Ellery Wolfe

Ellery Wolfe graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2014 with a BA in Music, minoring in Electronic Music. He has a background in live music performance, composition, and producing electronic music. He has recently become interested in algorithmic music composition and the potential it has as a tool for human composers. Wolfe currently also plays bass in the San Diego oldies band The Vinyl Moods.

Russell Hugo

Russell Hugo earned a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Washington in 2016. He has over two decades of experience related to audio production and computer-based composition. Primarily, his role at the e.r.g. is currently focused on web and graphic design.
